Is cabin #10 on the water?
Yes, cabin #10 is a waterfront unit. In fact, it's the largest waterfront unit of the 11-unit West Wind Resort.
How do I rent cabin #10?
Simply fill in our reservation request form, and mail it to our office at the address on the form.
What happens if I have mailed in my payment, but I cannot come?
Reservation fees, if any, are refundable, less 35% handling fee, ONLY if we can re-book the cabin. If we are not able to re-rent cabin #10, then we cannot refund any portion of the fee.
How do I rent other cabins at West Wind Resort?
The cabins (condominiums) at West Wind Resort are all privately owned. While we choose to rent out our own unit, Cabin #10, the owners of the other units may or may not choose to do so. Contact information for other owners, if known, is listed below:

Can we reserve cabin #10 or make payments online?
No. We do not accept payments of any type through our website.
What are your policies and procedures?
Our policies and procedures are available for your review. If you have questions regarding our policies and procedures, please contact our office.
Where can we launch our boat?
You may launch most boats at our private boat launch, or if you prefer, you may launch at the public site 1.5 miles south of the resort.
Do you provide boats? Can we rent boats locally?
No, unfortunately, we do not provide boats as part of your rental. However, many area rental companies deliver boats to the resort. Beach Watersports, Inc has a great selection of boats and wave runners available for rent, and they’ll deliver them to West Wind Resort for free.

What time can we check-in to our cabin?
Check-in time is 3:00 PM Check-out time is 9:00 AM
What should we bring with us?
Bring your own sheets and towels. Pillows, blankets and mattress covers are provided. Also bring your own toiletries and paper products, i.e. toilet paper, paper towels, napkins
Will there be a microwave oven in our cabin?
Yes, the cabin has a fully equipped kitchen with microwave oven, stove, refrigerator, dishes, and utensils.
Is it okay to smoke in Cabin #10?
No. We ask that our guests do not smoke in our cabin.
Is there a television set?
No, but some of our guests do bring their own.
High-speed Internet Access?
No, unfortunately, internet access is not available
Can we bring our pet?
No. Animals are not allowed at the West Wind Resort
Where can we buy our groceries?
Tom’s Food Market in Traverse City, and Hansen’s Market in Sutton’s Bay, are both just 15 minutes away.
